For cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Unlike other products, we do not hollow out the wood, peel the bark, or shave it, so we have received many happy comments about the hardness and how much dogs take to them!

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

Left: Zelkova, approx. 14.9 x 0.8-1.1 cm

Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size with your dog's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For dogs in the teething stage, Japanese dogs, and active breeds, a thickness that they can just barely grip will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time.

Pear wood branches are less likely to have sharp thorns sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless if swallowed.
The bark of pear wood branches from Niigata Prefecture has been peeled one by one and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (file). Please understand that there may be missed spots or cracks/splits due to excessive drying.

Since it is made of wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no danger of injuring their mouths. However, please supervise your dog while they play.

Please refrain from purchasing if your dog has fruit allergies.
