Even for cats and very small dogs, we select aged, hard branches and peel the bark to create these toys.

Since we do not hollow out the wood, scrape off the bark, or shave it, we have received many happy comments that the hardness and how much dogs take to them are different from other products ?

We've made a set of two, one pear wood and one zelkova wood, for those who want to try both.

The small branches are sturdy, so they seem to last a long time ?
Please note that these are amateur measurements and may have errors.

Please compare the size with your pet's mouth size and the size of their current stuffed animals or balls.
For pets in the nipping stage, male Japanese dogs, and active breeds with strong chewing power, a thickness that they can just barely hold in their mouths will allow them to enjoy it for a longer time ?

Pear wood branches are less likely to have splinters sticking out, and the wood shavings after chewing crumble like cork, so they are harmless even if swallowed.
The bark of pear wood branches from Niigata Prefecture is peeled one by one and dried for two years.

As these are amateur handmade items, please understand that there may be overlooked imperfections or cracks/splits due to excessive drying, even though they are cut with a chainsaw and the small branches are sanded with a belt sander (sandpaper).
Since it is wood, their teeth will not be damaged, and as long as you choose the size carefully, there is no risk of injuring their mouths, but please allow your pet to play under your supervision.
