Antique Advertising Button Hook - THE FASHION SHOP - Fresno, CA - Early 1900s
N/A
28.00 $
Description
This is a genuine piece of California history. The Fashion Shop was a prominent boutique located in the heart of downtown Fresno during the city’s golden age of commerce. In the early 1900s, these tools were essential for fastening the many small buttons on Victorian and Edwardian style boots, gloves, and high-collar shirts. Retailers like The Fashion Shop gave these away as high-quality promotional items to their best customers. Since the store closed many decades ago as the downtown shopping district shifted, these branded tools have become rare mementos of Fresno’s retail heritage. Perfect for: Collectors of Fresno or Central Valley memorabilia. Antique sewing and garment tool enthusiasts. Vintage advertising collectors. (M5)
