Mint green & White Checkerboard Granny Square Toddler Baby Afghan to be finished

Calling any crochet enthusiasts and artists! This is an estate sale find. These are charming mint green & white checkerboard crocheted Granny squares. Each square measures approximately 5 square. Several have been hand sewn (not crocheted) together to make 7 square strips. There are 6 1/2 strips completed this way. There are an additional 38 loose squares that can be used to make an additional 6 1/2 strips (13 strips total) to complete this project. I'm confident that someone well versed in crocheting could finish this or turn this into a different layout by unstitching the attached squares. The color combination is still very popular for Boho or Cottagecore nursery decor. I haven't crocheted in 30 years & don't have any little ones or I would finish it & put it to use. Finished size of the blanket would be approximately 38 x 60 depending on how you finish it.
