Dated 1981, this solid brass Mervyn's buckle features a galloping horse-and-rider Pony Express scene framed by a roped border on a round copper-bronze face. A nice piece of Western and frontier-mail history. Condition is good - the scene reads clearly with honest surface wear and no structural issues, shown in the photos. Standard bar-and-swivel fitting accepts a full-size belt. A classic stallion buckle for the horse lover or Western collector.
