Boxing Martial Arts [Brass Bell 18.5cm] Vintage Ringside, Flat or Wall Mountable

1. ☆ [Antiques/Fine Art/Vintage] This item is being sold on behalf of my brother, who is an antique and fine art enthusiast, and I will be making all decisions regarding its sale.

2. ☆ There are no engravings on the bell itself indicating its year of manufacture. At first glance, it appeared to be an old, retro vintage bell. I considered polishing it with a metal cleaner, but decided against it to preserve its vintage condition, believing it would be best for the buyer to make that decision.

3. ☆ After disassembling it to remove dust and reassembling it, the sound became dull. Upon further experimentation, I discovered that the top screw of the bell was tightened too much. Loosening it produced a decent sound. The trick is to strike it with force. Also, when viewed from directly above, the spring end that is visible through the coil was hitting the corner of the metal fitting, causing it to not function smoothly. I narrowed it with pliers to correct this. I did not tighten it too much, so the buyer can adjust it as needed if they require further modification.

4. ☆ Originally, it was designed to be placed flat and struck by lifting and releasing the lever by hand. However, when hung on a [wall] and the [chain] (which was not originally present) attached to the lever is pulled down forcefully, a good sound is produced.

5. ☆ [Size] The diameter of the round bell is 18.5cm, and it weighs 1072g. The top screw weighs 39g. The base metal fitting weighs 985g, and upon looking at the underside, it is immediately identifiable as [brass] with a blasted finish. The wooden base weighs 215g, making the [total] weight [2096g]. It is a slightly smaller size.

6. ☆ [For reference] The boxing bells from [Aurora Mills] in Oregon and boxing bells on [eBay] are very expensive, although their sizes differ. Mine is considerably more affordable and accessible in comparison, and can be used for school clubs or town gyms. Although it is currently at a loss, I believe this price is reasonable.
