This is believed to be Shoushan stone, produced in Shoushan Village, Fujian Province, China.
Due to its beauty, colors, and moderate hardness, it has been highly valued in China since ancient times as a material for seals (hanko) and carvings.
Among Shoushan stones, this is believed to be a representative type, Fuyong stone. It is called the Queen of Stones for its white and smooth texture.
A characteristic feature is the intricate carving called inchu on the top, which imitates mythical beasts such as dragons.
