Alpine Professional ¥2,700
The Menuhin-style shield mute, loved by many professional and amateur musicians but difficult to obtain, is now available from Alpine Mute Ltd. in the UK. It is known for its ease of use and tone. We recommend the Professional model, which features embedded brass, producing a soft, warm tone with beautiful high notes. The Artist model has the same design but is offered at a lower price for beginner to intermediate players. Both models are compatible with both violins and violas.
