The strap can be removed and there is a magnetic flap that lifts on the back to reveal a nylon belt loop so you can attach the bag to your belt when traveling for added security. 2. The front of the bag also is a magnetic flap with a zipper pocket on the front for easy access to your phone or ID which can slide inside. Note I have a Samsung phone that's about a year old and it fits into this pocket but does stick out, bigger phones can slide in but cannot be zipped closed. The pocket is only about 4 inches deep so if you have a smaller phone or flip phone those will fit, but bigger iphones or Samsungs will fit width wise easily but cannot be zipped into it.
