【For Pickup by Momo Only】Cremona Double Bass No. 15 (All Plywood, 3/4 Size)

This is a listing for a Cremona No. 15, a well-regarded instrument made from domestic plywood in the lower price range. The year of manufacture is unknown as it is not indicated on the label, but it is believed to have been made sometime after the 1970s. It is said that Torajiro Sakamoto was the sole craftsman for this model from the mid-1990s onwards, but details are unclear. The number on the label is faded, but No. 15 can barely be read. Based on my brief playing experience, this is a highly accomplished instrument. While its tone is not flashy, it is well-defined and resonates with a very elegant sound.

After acquiring it, I repaired a separation on the back plate and adjusted the bridge height to make it easier to play. I have also replaced the strings with used ones I had on hand (believed to be Helicores). There is a relatively large scratch on the top plate (photo 3), but overall, I consider this to be an instrument in good condition.

A separately acquired soft case (used, with some fraying and missing parts such as the shoulder strap) will be included. However, as I am short on cases, please leave the case selection to me. I will do my best to accommodate based on the product's price range and usage. If you do not require the soft case, I will offer a discount of 7,000 yen, so please let me know in advance.

As I cannot arrange for shipping through a delivery company, this is primarily for [direct pickup only]. For pickup, please come to my residence in eastern Sakata City or a designated location in western Osaki City.

For locations within Yamagata Prefecture or nearby prefectures that are not too far (e.g., south of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, north of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, north of Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture, etc.), I can deliver to a designated location near you for the actual cost of fuel, etc. If it is along the Tohoku Shinkansen line, I can also deliver to a Shinkansen station near you for the actual transportation costs. (Even for Tokyo, pickup at Ueno Station, etc., is possible.)

Trial playing is also available. The trial playing location is the same as the pickup locations: my residence in eastern Sakata City or a designated location in western Osaki City. If you wish to try the instrument in Osaki City, there will be a venue usage fee of 500 yen per person (plus an additional fee for each accompanying person, if applicable).
