This book explains what Aikido is, the encounters between Sokaku Takeda and Founder Morihei Ueshiba, the fateful encounter with the religious figure and master Nisaburo Deguchi, the birth of the Aikido Ueshiba Juku,
the concept of Musan Aikido, and the meeting between Founder Morihei Ueshiba and Master Morihiko Saito.
Musan Aikido, the theme of this book, refers to
the state of Aikido that the Founder reached during his time in Iwama, Ibaraki Prefecture.

Master Morihiko Saito
Born March 1928 in Ibaraki Prefecture.
July 1946: Studied under Aikido Founder O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba at the Aikido Training Dojo in Iwama, Ibaraki Prefecture, and trained under the Founder for 23 years.
January 1959: Became a Shihan (master instructor) of the Aikikai.
April 1969: After the Founder's passing, the Iwama Dojo was established,
and he continued to protect the Aikido Shrine.
January 1983: Received an award for distinguished service in martial arts from the Nippon Budo Kyogikai (Japan Martial Arts Council).
May 13, 2002: Passed away at the age of 74.
