Vintage Silver Plated Jewelry Box Red Velvet Lining Ornate Cherub Footed

This is a beautiful vintage silver-plated jewelry or casket box featuring an incredibly ornate, classical design. The hinged lid showcases a detailed, highly raised repoussé pastoral scene with classical figures, cupids, and cherubs. Each side of the box is embellished with high-relief cherub faces nestled within floral garlands, seamlessly flowing down into four elegant, baroque-style curved feet.  The interior is fully lined with its original, vibrant red velvet fabric, which remains in excellent, clean condition to keep your jewelry protected. The underside of the box features an intricate, textured scroll pattern. The metal displays a natural aged patina and minor surface wear consistent with age, which beautifully highlights the depth and artistry of the reliefs.
