Key Features
Achieves an open F2.8 across the entire zoom range from 15mm to 35mm focal length.
With a wide-angle focal length of 15mm, you can shoot wide without being far from the subject in architecture, landscapes, portraits, etc., or create photographic expressions that emphasize perspective.
Furthermore, the optical design of 16 elements in 12 groups, including three Glass Mold Aspherical lenses and two UD lenses, reduces various aberrations that cause image quality degradation, achieving high image quality across the entire zoom range.

Up to 5 stops of image stabilization
By reviewing the control algorithm of Optical IS and adopting Dual Sensing IS, the image stabilization effect during still photography has been improved to a maximum of 5 stops*.
Even in dark scenes, you can use slower shutter speeds, expanding the possibilities for handheld shooting.
* Complies with CIPA guidelines. When using EOS R at a focal length of 35mm.
