Description
The Air Jordan 12, designed by Tinker Hatfield, debuted in 1996 and was notable for being the first Air Jordan to feature Zoom Air cushioning. Its design drew inspiration from the Japanese 'Nisshoki' (sun symbol) and a 19th-century girls' formal dress, featuring a distinctive stitched upper that resembled sun rays. The shoe also incorporated a carbon fiber shank plate for enhanced support and durability, positioning it as a high-performance basketball shoe. The 'Cherry' colorway, characterized by its striking white and red palette, is one of the most iconic and sought-after iterations of the Air Jordan 12. The product code 130690 161 specifically identifies the 2009 retro release of this popular model, which has been highly prized by collectors for its accurate replication of the original design.
