Description
⚠️ The outer case has significant dirt. The DVD surface for Takaaki Yoshimoto Speaks has minor scuffs but plays without any issues. Both DVDs appear to be in clean condition. This item should be fine for those who prioritize playback. I've priced it slightly lower than the current market average.

A poet, literary critic, and thinker. Takaaki Yoshimoto has long led Japan's intellectual scene. Even at 84, he continues to contemplate while confronting his own aging. I want to talk about my work, connecting it all together, he thought. In the summer of 2008, Yoshimoto asked his friend, copywriter Shigesato Itoi, for his cooperation and held a lecture. Tickets sold out overnight. Over 2,000 attendees listened intently for three hours to Yoshimoto's Theory of Artistic Language. What does Yoshimoto, who has discussed everything from literature and art to politics, economics, the state, religion, and popular culture with unparalleled depth, have to say to us now? This documentary depicts the culmination of his thought, woven over more than 60 years since the end of the war.
