Signed 1972 Paula Geoffroy Lacquer Jewelry Box with Abalone Inlay

Beautiful hand-crafted lacquer jewelry or keepsake box signed and dated Paula Geoffroy 1972 on the underside.  This striking piece features an elegant black lacquer exterior adorned with ornate gold cherub and scroll motifs accented by shimmering abalone shell inlays. Opening the box reveals a vivid red velvet-lined interior and delicate hand-quilled floral paper artwork inside the lid, making it just as beautiful open as it is closed.  The long rectangular shape makes it perfect for jewelry, watches, pens, letters, keepsakes, or display as part of a Hollywood Regency, chinoiserie, or eclectic vintage decor collection.  In good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear to the exterior finish consistent with use and age.
