Description
The pick and blade have been curved, making it easier to bite into hard snow and ice, and thus more user-friendly. It is also more aesthetically pleasing than previous wooden ice axes, and I consider it a masterpiece. It was made in the 1970s.
The number of wood grain lines on the wooden part is considered to be neither too hard nor too soft. I continued to apply linseed oil for several years after I stopped using it, but after that, it has been stored.
There are some scratches and rust, but considering it was actually used, there are no scratches from crampons or the like. I hope you will appreciate it as a tool that has seen active use.
