Beautiful set of 2 vintage/antique semi-porcelain dinner plates in the timeless, classic Blue Willow transferware pattern by Ridgways of Staffordshire, England! These pieces feature the gorgeous and highly detailed cobalt blue Chinoiserie landscape scene featuring the classic pagodas, bridges, and the iconic pairing of two soaring lovebirds at the center. The backs display the gorgeous, authentic diamond-shaped maker's mark: Engraved for W. Ridgway & Co. 1832 Semi China - England. (Note: The 1832 commemorates the pattern's original design year, while the England designation dates these physical plates to the late 1890s to 1920s era). These pieces feature the gorgeous and highly detailed cobalt blue Chinoiserie landscape scene featuring the classic pagodas, bridges, and the iconic pairing of two soaring lovebirds at the center. Good vintage/antique condition with no chips or cracks. Stunning color and gloss glaze finish. May show very light surface/utensil marks or minor vintage crazing typical of age.
