Description
Vintage Vibrant 3D 70s needlepoint Rooster chicken pillow velvet back 12 x 17 Lumbar shape Handmade by an expert crafter. This is not a mass-produced pillow from overseas. (see photo of the way the stitches were tied off). Red velvet back. Red velvet trim. Rooster/chicken is mostly needlepoint with Bargello chevron detailing. The comb appears to be trimmed wool Details around the edges are French knots (I think). Background is traditionally stitched needlepoint. Approx 12 x 17 when edges pulled to edge of ruler. About 3.5 thick Poly insert (also vintage, no smell) so thicker than what you can find today. Zipper on back if you want to change the insert. Weight about 1#8 oz before packaging
