Authentic Emile Henry French Butter Pot -fresh soft butter everyday

authentic Emile Henry French Butter Pot (model 86.10), handcrafted from high-fired Burgundy clay in Marcigny, France. Key Product DetailsStamp Authenticity: The bottom imprint displays the classic stamped EH monogram logo, Emile Henry France, and the distinct factory mold/shape number 86.10. Functionality: This is a traditional water-submerged butter bell (crock). It utilizes a two-piece airtight design where tap water is poured into the base, and butter is packed into the lid. Inverting the lid into the base forms a natural seal that preserves your butter at room temperature for up to 30 days without refrigeration. Material Properties: The smooth ceramic glaze protects the piece against thermal and mechanical shock. It is completely dishwasher-safe. Butter crocks have been in use in parts of Europe dating back to the Middle Ages, long before reliable refrigeration was available. These airtight ceramic vessels prevented butter from spoiling while keeping it at a reasonable temperature. The stoneware butter crock is inspired by classic crock designs, blocking out air that can ruin butter, while approximating room temperature to keep the butter soft without melting. Please note: products never been used, but it does have a small chip in it (that was as received happened during shipment) prices reflective of this please check out the photos for approximate dimensions and also check out my other listings because I offer bundle discounting
