Royal Goedewaagen Original Delft Blue Ellis Island Vase Made in Holland

The decoration is classic Goedewaagen: dense blue scrollwork, floral garlands, and a central cartouche reserve bearing the words Ellis Island — made as a commemorative souvenir piece, almost certainly tied to the 1990 reopening of Ellis Island as a museum. The form is a squat, wide-shouldered jar shape, approximately 5 inches tall. Painted by hand in cobalt blue on a cream-white ground, consistent with 17th-century Dutch faience tradition. Numbered 200/00 on the base. Comes with the original bilingual Delft Blue Certificate from Royal Goedewaagen, which attests to the hand-painted decoration and traditional glazing process.
