Rare MAC Cosmetics "Kitchen Chemist" Heavy Metal Hand Mirror

​This is a heavy-duty, professional-grade collector’s piece from MAC Cosmetics. Unlike standard plastic vanity mirrors, this Iron Handle edition features a substantial metal construction and a design that pays homage to the brand’s gritty, DIY origins. ​ The handle is a faithful recreation  of a vintage detachable cool-touch spring handle, historically used on antique cast-iron laundry irons and stove tools. This design element is a direct nod to MAC founders Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo, who famously cooked their first batches of professional makeup on a kitchen stove. There is minor desilvering (reference photo) which adds to the industrial, relic look if it. This piece has an Heirloom quality about it.
