The front of the frame is a beautiful example of repoussè work in silver. There are no hallmarks that I can find ( a very collectable) designed in the style of for 1899 for James Dodsworth.  The reverse of the frames, the lining and support are in the original black velvet and original glass front, which is undamaged. The velvet backing may or may not show signs of wear commensurate with age, as shown All cleaned restore.
