The Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/2.8 is a classic, compact, manual focus prime lens known for its simple but sharp Eagle Eye Tessar design, often featuring a distinctive Red T coating, and built for M42 or Exakta mounts, offering decent sharpness and dreamy bokeh when stopped down, making it a popular, affordable vintage choice for film and digital cameras, especially for portraits.   This Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar lens is in very good condition. Lens barrel is clear of any major signs of wear.  Only indications of normal use. No major dings or dents or deep scratches,  The glass is clean and clear.  No scratches, cleaning marks, fungus, mold, separation or major dust. The aperture ring works nicely as intended.    Please note that the focus ring is snug and may eventually need servicing because of age.
