Vintage 1950s Wardflex TLR 120 Film Camera Montgomery Ward
Wardflex
Vintage 1950s Wardflex Twin-Lens Reflex (TLR) 120 film camera, originally sold by Montgomery Ward. This completely mechanical, medium-format camera features the unique variant configuration with the shutter speed selector ring wrapped directly around the bottom taking lens housing. It makes an excellent mid-century shelf display piece or a rewarding restoration project for a vintage camera hobbyist. Condition Details: * Cosmetics: Good vintage condition with expected minor wear from age. The leatherette and metal housing are physically intact. Please note wear, light corrosion on some of the metal surface of hood. * Viewfinder & Lenses: The viewing glass shows typical vintage dust but remains clear enough for display or cleaning. * Aperture: The right-side manual aperture lever moves smoothly, and the internal blades open and close properly. * Shutter System: The camera cocks and fires. The high shutter speeds work well and fire quickly. The slow shutter speeds are sticky and delayed due to old internal lubricant, which is very typical for cameras of this era. Being sold as-is for display, parts, or a Clean, Lubricate, Adjust (CLA) restoration project.
