A curated collection of Maryland’s most iconic regional recipes and culinary history.  1. My Favorite Maryland Recipes by Helen Avalynne Tawes (1998 printing of a 1964 book) A staple of Maryland political and culinary history, written by the former First Lady of Maryland (1959–1967). This book features authentic recipes served at the Governor's Mansion, including Eastern Shore crab salads and regional classics. Condition: Very good, remains of a price tag on back.  2. The Chesapeake Bay Crab Cookbook by John Shields (1992, Addison-Wesley): First printing The bible of Maryland crab preparation. This is the sought-after first edition from the Addison-Wesley trade experiment, featuring Jed Kirschbaum’s iconic photography. Condition: Excellent; cover is clean with vibrant colors.  3. The Chesapeake Bay Fish & Fowl Cookbook by Joan & Joe Foley (1981) A highly regarded treasury of authentic Eastern Shore cooking. Condition: The dust jacket is well-loved with chipping and tape repair. However, it has perfectly protected the boards underneath, which are in pristine condition. (see photos of both)
