Vintage Italian Fleur de Lis Biscuit or Sugar Tongs

Pair of ornate silver Biscuit, pastry or sugar tongs, likely from the 19th century. These tongs were used for picking up cookies, sugar cubes or candies and were a symbol of refinement during the rise of tea and coffee culture.  Ornate with floral and decorative patterns. Fleur de lis in the center of the pad  In original vintage condition with patina but ready to be polished to restore its shine and finish  Made in Italy, stamped on inner section  Fluid movement to the tongs  Beautiful rare find!
