Danjiri Chime Mallet (3.5 sun) General Purpose Type
34.32 $
Description
Thank you for viewing.
This is a handmade striking stick (shumoku) made for Danjiri festival gongs (kane).
It has a substantial feel due to the thick bamboo handle and the use of high-quality deer antler.
The gap between the deer antler and the handle is filled with adhesive, and small brass nails are used for fixation.
Handle: Approximately 28 cm
Antler: Approximately 10.5 cm
Total Length: Approximately 30 cm
I believe I understand what makes a good striking stick, but please understand that as this is a handmade item, I cannot guarantee its durability. (Please rest assured, it has been tested.)
I am unable to offer discounts due to the cost of materials, but if you have a strong passion for Danjiri music or percussion, I might be able to offer a discount! (lol)
Of course, I will do my best to ship your order immediately after purchase.
(The item for sale is from legitimate hunting, and the Ezo deer and Japanese deer used are not subject to the Species Preservation Law and are not prohibited from sale.)
The blackening on the bamboo in image 8 is not mold but a natural stain. (It has been present since the raw bamboo was split; please understand.)
