The following is quoted from the official product description:

[Shikisai-go Hyakki Yakou]
Koten no Shi: Youmoku Yomi
Yomi (the underworld) is the land of the dead that appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki.
In ancient China, yellow symbolized earth in the theory of the five elements, and this ink was colored to evoke an underground spring.

With the [color-changing] property of this classical ink, it is a mysterious yellow unique to the land of the dead, changing to various shades from bright yellow to ochre.
