Gumi cuttings inherit the characteristics of the parent plant, so if they are sold as deep red, they will be sweeter than strawberries.

Shipped with soil for rooting, approximately 100cc in a measuring cup.

These are spring cuttings.

We will cut them after receiving your order. After cutting, we will let them absorb water for about 1-2 hours before placing them in water for shipping.

They will be wrapped in wet tissue and then plastic wrap for shipping.

Upon arrival, if possible, prepare a container with drainage holes and good drainage. Fill it with soil, make a hole in the center, and then add the rooting soil around the cutting, especially around the base (bottom).

After filling the container with rooting soil, hold the seedling with your hands and add the rooting soil from the side of the seedling, being careful not to get it on the leaves. A spoon from a convenience store is sufficient. If soil gets on the leaves, the seedling will not be able to breathe and will die. If soil accidentally gets on the leaves, wash them with water to remove the soil. Finally, press the soil around the seedling with your fingers to secure and stabilize it. This completes the preparation for growing the seedling. After this, all that's needed is daily exposure to outdoor air and watering.

Keep the seedling in a shaded area or outdoors, avoiding direct sunlight, for about 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, try exposing it to direct sunlight for about 1 hour. The next day, try for about 2 hours. Observe its condition. Exposing it to direct sunlight all day suddenly can cause it to die.

New shoots and roots are expected to appear in about 6 to 8 weeks, but please do not give up even if they don't. As long as the seedling is not dry and brittle, it is alive. Some seedlings take longer to sprout or root.
Rooting and sprouting may occur in mid-September or late October.

When the new shoots grow larger, plant them in their final desired location. Gently slide the entire rooting soil and seedling out to the side and carefully remove the seedling. Pulling it out will damage the roots and put a strain on the seedling. Please refrain from doing so.
