Kutani Ware, Aogami Tessen, Tea Ceremony Set, Teapot, 5 Teacups, Ceramics, Antique

This is a popular Aogami Tessen sencha (green tea) set from Kutani Ware.
The Aogami Tessen technique became popular in the Taisho era.
It is a very meticulous technique where raised dots, called aogami (blue grains), are arranged on a base color. The size, spacing, and uniformity of these dots are crucial.
The unevenness created by these uniform grains gives the piece a sense of weight, and the gold leaf patterns add elegance.
This sencha cup set combines the 350 years of history inherited by Kutani Ware with a dignity that makes it suitable for use as a gift by the Imperial Household Agency today.
Not only for everyday use, but also when serving tea to guests, the tools used can reveal the host's heart.
This is an item that conveys a spirit of hospitality.
