【Rare】Originally from Indonesia, this tropical Jeruk Bali variety of giant pomelo has been successfully cultivated in Japan (Northwest Chiba) through years of experimentation.

Commonly known as Jeruk Bali, Bario Orange, or Pomelo.
The large orange, or pomelo, scientifically known as Citrus grandis or C. maxima, is the largest citrus fruit. The current name pomelo was proposed by the Ministry of Agriculture because this orange is not related to Bali. It is a species that has adapted to cultivation in Japan and is relatively resistant to diseases.
The image in the second photo shows an example of what will be sent. It is a fresh, healthy branch cut from the mother tree after your purchase, and it will be kept in water before shipping.

It is organic, healthy, and environmentally friendly.

While still a rare and high-end fruit in Japan, it is a common fruit in Southeast Asian countries like Thailand and Malaysia. It is hardy enough to withstand the Japanese winter in areas west of the Kanto region, and its leaves remain year-round, growing vigorously for many years. (Proven to be plantable in the ground in Northwest Chiba).

We will send one thick branch suitable for grafting or cutting, freshly pruned from a very healthy tree. This tree has successfully overwintered multiple times and is now 12 years old. Unlike shipments from distant locations like Okinawa, it will arrive safely without mold or wilting.

Due to its high vitamin C content, Bario Orange is often used to treat ulcers. In addition to being edible, it can also be used as an ingredient in food additives. Bario Orange contains pectin, which is thought to help lower bad cholesterol in the body. Its vitamin and mineral content also makes it very effective for smoothing skin and maintaining skin health. Bario Orange can also be processed into a face mask for facial treatments, similar to those found in spas.
