This filter media utilizes an innovative water treatment technology called Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR). By floating the media in the water and keeping it constantly moving, a bacterial film naturally forms on its surface, efficiently breaking down harmful substances like ammonia, nitrite, and organic matter in the aquarium water.

[The Media Moves and Works! Highly Efficient Filtration Mechanism]

By allowing the media to float in the water using a pump or aeration, the entire surface area where bacteria reside is constantly in contact with the water. Compared to traditional fixed filter media, bacterial activity is significantly enhanced, leading to a dramatic increase in filtration capacity. The system is designed so that water circulation is not stagnant, and the media itself is naturally cleaned.

[Reduced Maintenance & High Durability]

Because the media moves on its own, dead spaces are less likely to form in the filter tank, suppressing the development of anaerobic environments that cause water spoilage and odors. Furthermore, the material used is high-density polyethylene (HDPE), known for its high durability. It is resistant to deformation even with long-term use and strong against collisions with other media, reducing the frequency of replacement and making it economical.
