Germination soil temperature: 25-30°C
Growing optimal temperature: 20-30°C

Sow seeds in 9cm pots or directly in the ground. For direct sowing, make holes about 4-5cm in diameter and 1cm deep. Sow 4-5 seeds per hole, cover with about 1cm of soil, gently press down with your hand, and water. For pot sowing, maintain a temperature of 25-30°C. Thin to two seedlings per spot when they have two true leaves, and to one seedling when they have three to four true leaves.

Flowering begins about 2 months after sowing. Apply fertilizer lightly, about one handful (approx. 30g) per square meter per application. If the plant's vigor is weak, slightly increase the amount of fertilizer. Okra plants tend to fall over, so provide stakes.

The optimal harvest time varies by variety, but generally, it's best to harvest young pods about 5-8cm long, 4-5 days after flowering. If harvesting is delayed, the pods will become tough. Okra buds are also delicious when harvested and deep-fried.

★ Because the seed coat is hard:
① Soak seeds in warm water (30-40°C) for about 5-6 hours, then rinse with water.
② Place in a ziploc bag with a damp towel (25-30°C) for 7-10 hours.
③ Once the seed coat cracks and germination is confirmed, lightly dry the seeds and sow.
④ Sow in rows about 1cm deep.
⑤ Place in a sunny location and water twice a day (morning and evening). Harvest after 4-6 weeks. Cut about 4cm from the base, and new shoots will emerge about a week later. (You can harvest 3-5 times).
⑥ Please grow in a container with good drainage.
