This is artificial spawning seaweed designed for egg-laying.
Since it is not made of natural materials, you can use it with peace of mind, as there is no worry of introducing pests or bacteria into your breeding environment. It is also economical as it can be reused year after year.
The seaweed leaves are very soft and have appropriate spacing between them, with a structure that allows eggs to attach easily and be dispersed. It is suitable for parent fish that lay a large number of eggs, giving the impression that eggs cover the entire surface of the leaves.
When there are many eggs during spawning, if the eggs stick together, the water mold that develops on unfertilized eggs can spread to fertilized eggs. This product makes it easier to reduce such risks because the eggs attach easily and are dispersed.
Furthermore, when removing the spawning seaweed from the water after hatching, fry can sometimes get tangled. However, this product has a structure that makes it difficult for fry to get tangled during removal, making it easy to manage.
The core of the spawning seaweed contains lead as a weight, so it sinks well. Although it contains lead, it is soft and can be bent, allowing for placement according to your breeding environment, such as ponds or aquariums. However, please be aware that repeatedly bending and straightening the same spot may damage the interior.
It is suitable for spawning not only goldfish such as Ranchu, Oranda, Azuma Nishiki, Wakin, and Ryukin, but also for medaka and koi. Additionally, because the leaves are not too dense, it can be adapted as a hiding place or feeding ground for baby shrimp of small shrimp and the fry of ovoviviparous fish like guppies and platies.
