Description
Double White Gardenia
Double-flowered, white blooms.
No variegation on the leaves!
Two rooted cuttings (see 2nd photo) will be shipped as bare-root plants with moist roots via standard mail.
The plant currently has few leaves, but they will grow more in the spring.
In my opinion, the double flowers resemble mini roses and are very cute. The buds are pink, but they bloom white. They flower profusely, and with repotting, they grow lush and full!
↓Below is information from the internet:
A very rare, double-flowered variety of Gardenia jasminoides. The white flowers with their layered petals are beautiful. The flowers may sometimes have a slight pink hue. Gardenia jasminoides is a nostalgic evergreen shrub that produces star-like, lovely flowers. Its small, leathery leaves grow densely, forming a compact, rounded bush. It is highly tolerant of pruning and branches well, making it a traditional choice for hedges and garden trees. It produces many small, white flowers about 1cm in diameter in early summer. It also blooms intermittently outside of early summer. It is recommended as a flowering tree for small gardens. Similar to boxwood, it is suitable for topiary, row planting, and as edging for flower beds or low hedges. It is also popular for container planting, topiaries, and mini bonsai. Native to Southeast Asia, it is very tolerant of shade and easy to cultivate.
Type: Semi-evergreen shrub, tolerant of cold, in the Rubiaceae family
Cultivation suitability: South of the Kanto region
Tree height: 0.5-1.5m
Flowering period: Spring to early summer
