Leucadendron Safari Sunset
Leucadendron is an attractive plant with beautifully colored foliage. The tips of the stems, which look like flowers, are bracts, which are leaves that cover the flowers and change with sunlight and temperature. The flowers are inside and the plant is dioecious. Flowers bloom in early spring, producing cones that look like pinecones.
Prefers sunny locations and well-draining soil. It is vigorous and heat-tolerant. However, it dislikes high temperatures and humidity, so be careful during rainy periods like the rainy season. It is relatively cold-hardy and can be planted in gardens in warm regions west of the Kanto area. Cold tolerance is 0°C.
