Extra Large 80cm Pungens Spruce 'Hopsi' Gardening

This is an exquisite Hopsi. It's rare to find one growing this straight.
As it grows, it will develop more leaves and turn silver.

This plant is often used for landscaping at luxury hotels, villas, high-end restaurants, embassies, and high-brand shops.

I purchased this plant several years ago and have been growing it outdoors. It has many new shoots and is growing healthily without any issues.

Pungens spruce grown in warmer climates (like Kanto) are strong even in the summer and can be grown with peace of mind. Many are produced in Hokkaido, but they often struggle with Kanto summers and die.
This plant has new shoots growing and is in excellent condition, with great potential for future growth.

The tree shape can become irregular below 2 meters, but with staking, it will straighten out as it grows.
However, I do not recommend buying crooked Pungens spruce sold online, as they will continue to grow crooked.
Because they grow slowly, the crookedness will remain, and it takes a considerable amount of time for the leaves and branches to grow into a conical shape, often resulting in an unattractive appearance.
It can take 40 years or more for a crooked tree to develop into a beautiful cone shape, and even then, the marks of the original bend will remain.
It is recommended to grow a plant that is already well-shaped from the beginning for a more impressive appearance.

Commercially, a 2-meter tree costs around 300,000 yen (shipping and planting costs are separate).
At this size and price, this is a great deal.
As it grows, it will become even more silver in color.
