Antique room divider, old folk house style
This is a rare antique room divider.
How about using it for a traditional Japanese house style?
This is a sliding door type room divider from the Taisho and early Showa periods. It was purchased for over 250,000 yen and used in our shop (still in use).
It features cranes and turtles, and is made with kumiko (intricate latticework). As it is an antique, some kumiko parts are missing in a few places. However, this does not affect its use.
For shop use, Japanese patterned fabric and plastic boards have been attached to make it opaque. I really like its atmosphere, but I am selling it to change to a slightly smaller type.
