Knife, Sickle shape, Sadamune, Refurbished, 6282
21.78 $
Description
Kama-gata (sickle-shaped) blade length 18.7cm, 173g. The spine is approximately 4.1mm thick near the top of the heel. It is engraved with Sakai Sadamune, but it is a brand of Sakai Ishito Co., Ltd. This is a long-established company founded in Bunkyu 3 (1863). Although it is a kama-gata knife, it is a Kansai-style usuba (thin-bladed) knife. Most of the rust marks have been removed, but upon close inspection, faint rust marks remain widely, so please check the photos carefully. The handle has been replaced with a new one and is still usable for a long time. It has been thoroughly sharpened, honed, and polished.
Please see my profile for details on the restoration process.
