I purchased this at an antique shop in Sydney about 15 years ago and have kept it in a drawer ever since.
According to the shop owner, it was brought over by an immigrant from England during Australia's colonial era, and is now considered a rare item.
In fact, I believe it is still functional enough to slice eggs. Its size is also almost the same as modern ones.
