This item was stored at my parents' home and my own home.
It has been disinfected by soaking and washed.
The base is made of silicone or has an embossed texture for non-slip performance.
There is a chip on the silicone part.
The pestle has some unevenness.
Upon close inspection, there are some small spots inside the mortar that appear to be stains or original color variations.
