These are Quercus acutissima (Konara oak) egg-laying logs.
They can be used for both domestic and foreign stag beetles and rhinoceros beetles. They can also be used as food.
Please soak them in water for about 3 hours before use.
Soaking them for too long may increase the risk of green mold (blue mold) developing, although it is not harmful to the insects.
I purchase many items from Forteck, a major and long-established manufacturer of stag beetles and rhinoceros beetles.
