Made with SUS440C, a high-grade stainless steel renowned worldwide for its superior hardness.
While most hair cutting shears are made from standard stainless steel, which lacks hardness and requires the addition of steel, stainless (stain-less) does not mean rust-proof. Rust can still occur if left wet or handled improperly.
There is no such thing as rust-proof steel. However, 440C is a material that maintains its sharpness due to its hardness. The combination of carbon and chromium (Cr), a rust-resistant element, makes 440C excellent in terms of rust resistance and sustained sharpness.
Proper maintenance, such as wiping with a cloth after use, is assumed.
