【For the upcoming season】Easily measure UV intensity ☆ UV Test Card

This is a test card for simply measuring UV intensity. The TEST AREA will turn purple in about 7-10 seconds when exposed to UV rays. The color intensity indicates the UV strength (mW/cm2), with darker colors signifying stronger UV rays, serving as a guide for UV protection.

*Please note that this is a simple measurement, and actual values may differ.

When exposed to sunlight, it immediately turned purple. However, when exposed to sunlight inside a car, there was almost no color change. This card allowed us to see the effect of the car's UV-cut glass.

On sunny days, and even on cloudy days, by measuring UV intensity with this card, you can take appropriate UV protection measures without letting your guard down. In the past, NHK's Tameshte Gatten program compared the skin of women in Okinawa, where UV rays are strong, with women in Kushiro, where UV rays are considered weak (even in summer due to fog), and found that UV damage was equivalent. Although Okinawa receives twice the amount of UV radiation as Hokkaido, the conclusion was that this might be because women in Kushiro did not take many UV protection measures due to their climate. Since UV rays are invisible, we hope this card will help you accurately grasp the UV levels and take appropriate UV protection measures.

Additionally, it can be used to measure the intensity of germicidal lamps (UV lights) used for tropical fish keeping, etc.

The product size is a standard card size of 5.4 cm in height and 8.55 cm in width, made of plastic like a credit card, so it can be safely carried without bending like paper.
