Wooden sieve for straining bean paste and miso
This is a wooden sieve. Purchased at Kappabashi, the mesh part is made of fine metal. It was used two or three times for straining smooth bean paste and white miso soup.
It measures 24 cm in diameter (8 sun) and 11 cm in height. It is no longer needed as I bought a slightly smaller one. There is a crack on a part of the outer frame, as shown in the photos, but I believe it will not affect its use.
I'm not sure of the exact fineness of the mesh, but it made the smooth bean paste silky and the white miso soup smooth and delicious. I believe it can also be used for sifting powders.
Thank you for your consideration.
