This gauze half blanket is made by , a long-established bedding manufacturer founded in Kyoto in 1946, bringing together the craftsmanship of artisans from Mikawa (Aichi Prefecture), Wakayama, and Izumiotsu (Osaka Prefecture) in Japan.
The fabric is Mikawa Fukure-Ori, woven by artisans in the traditional textile production area of Mikawa, Aichi Prefecture, using a special technique.
Special polyester yarn, which shrinks when heated, is blended with cotton.
In Wakayama Prefecture, skilled heat treatment artisans create a textured surface that allows air to pass through the fabric.
The sewing is done in Izumiotsu, Osaka Prefecture.
It retains the softness of gauze that increases with use, while offering a smooth, dry feel, a gentle fit to the body, and a pleasant volume.
It's also great for preventing chills from air conditioning.
The exquisite combination of the elegant hemp leaf motif and refreshing colors creates a product that offers a sense of coolness even visually.
It's easy to care for as it can be machine washed at home (use a laundry net).
