Description
Stylish Glass Interior
This is a Galileo thermometer.
While colorful Galileo thermometers are common, clear is a very rare color.
A Galileo thermometer is a beautiful interior thermometer that utilizes the change in liquid specific gravity (density) accompanying changes in temperature.
It is not suitable for precise room temperature measurement, but you can visually enjoy the state of the glass balls rising and falling with the temperature as an indicator of room temperature.
Mechanism and How to Read
Principle: As the temperature rises, the liquid density inside the cylinder decreases, and the glass balls sink. Conversely, as the temperature drops, the density increases, and the glass balls float.
How to read the temperature: The temperature engraved on the plate of the lowest floating glass ball is the current indicator.
Height: 28 cm
