Ring Kesha Cover: Sweat Absorption, Stain Prevention, Also for Cold Protection. Pilgrimage Supplies. 100% Cotton Towel Fabric.

Sweat and stain protection cover for Wakesa (Buddhist stole).
*Cover only, Wakesa not included.

Not only for sweat in the summer, but also for warmth in the winter, so it can be used regardless of the season!

Wakesa are often made of pure silk or woven fabric.
When wearing a Wakesa over a collarless shirt like a T-shirt or sweatshirt, sweat stains and dirt are a concern. For woven fabrics, the texture can be scratchy against the neck, which I always found bothersome. I used to wrap a hand towel around it, but it looked a bit awkward (lol).
The commercially available covers were only made of vinyl, so I made this one by hand.

Japan's first!
