The inner lens rim and temple arms feature stepped detailing, and the coin's design is evident in the raised and lowered patterns on the rim's sides. While the official name for British currency is pound, it has many slang terms, with pound often referred to as quid.
2Q is named after 2 quid (meaning 2 pounds).
